Get Better After You Get Started
When you're just starting out with anything, including strongman, there's no way that you will get everything right.
Don't stress about perfection, just start. Your routines and habits will be refined over time.
In the writing world, Anne Lamott popularized the concept of Shitty First Drafts (SFD). The first time you try to create something it's not supposed to be a work of art, you just want to get it down on paper or composed on the timeline.
Companies like Facebook have made it cool to think that you should "move fast and break things" in your startup company. Like the SFD, in the fast moving world of startups being the first to market can be an advantage in your marketing strategy.
Approaching strongman the same way is an advantage (minus the breaking things). Just get started and learn from your mistakes rather than waiting for conditions to be perfect.
You can start training for strongman without exactly knowing what you're doing. You can start a diet without knowing exactly what you are doing. You can start a business without knowing exactly what you are doing. You just have to start.
The routines you build into place once you've started can maintain and accelerate your progress in the long-term but you won't know what habits will help you out the most until you've started and can evaluate what pieces in your fast moving system aren't working.
